International Journal of Innovative Science and Research Technology, 10 (10): 25oct362. pp. 1636-1646. ISSN 2456-2165
As the packaging industry becomes increasingly competitive, optimizing operations is essential to reducing costs and improving efficiency. This proposal focuses on enhancing the material input-output ratio, reducing waste, and minimizing environmental impact, thereby supporting both economic sustainability and ecological responsibility. Reducing cylinder etching is proposed to lower ink consumption without compromising print quality. To maintain the overall GSM, the thickness of the Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) film will be increased. The implemented strategy led to a reduction of 1,748 kg in material consumption, resulting in cost savings of BDT. 696,160 for every 25,000 kg job. This strategy balances cost efficiency with sustainability, positioning the company as a leader in responsible innovation. By optimizing ink use and LDPE film thickness, operational efficiency is improved while ensuring long-term profitability and a reduced environmental footprint.
